Meet our alpacas
Name: Cloudy Mountain's Koal
Sex: Male
About: Don't let these pics fool you - Koal's a little one yet. Koal is a true black male of ABC's Benjamin and CMA's Yucca. Benjamin won a blue in 2001, but wasn't shown much. I think Benjamin shows a wonderful stature, yet showing that big square confidence that says "top of the line herdsire." Ben also has great fiber density inherited from his father, Lanark's Lexus. We believe these traits have been passed on to Koal.
Koal's dam is full Chilean with grey in her lineage. Koal is co-owned with and lives at Cloudy Mountain Alpaca in Vermont, where he often starts off the evening pronking sessions. We are looking forward to his future as he grows, and plan to show him when he is older.

About: Tiarra has Hemingway & Guillermo lineage, and is also a Ghengis Khan great-granddaughter. She's inherited a regal presence and great bone structure. She is a herd leader and looks out for the all the alpacas, and is a natural mom. Tiarra is the proud mother of our Sassafrass, a ribbon winning beautiful female with great fiber and a nice alpaca appearance. Tiarra's last cria, Patriot's Hope for Peace is a stunning fawn (we'll list her up soon), and she is now bred to CVA's Ezekiel for a summer, 2007 cria.

About: Sassy continues to impress us with the quality of her fleece improving as she has matured. Already having taken ribbons in prior seasons' shows, we are delighted to annouce she has added a blue to her ribbon collection, shown under Mike Safley at this year's NAAS. This is a fitting end to Sassy's show career, and she will be going for her breeding in about a month's time. We were looking at pictures of Sassy from May 2005 recently, and I remarked how she has grown and filled out - she no longer looks like a teenager, but now a stately adult. We know she will pass great traits to her cria.

About: A full sister to Sassy, Abby has demonstrated herself to be a superior alpaca - she has two ribbons to her name from NAAS and the Green Mtn Alpaca Show. She has shown in true and bay back classes; she went into the true black in her NAAS 06 show, a split class of 24 total, with Abby being in the second group. She placed sixth among some excellent alpacas, judged by Mike Safley. She showed in a large bay black class in Fall 06, and took a 5th place under judge Amanda Vandenbosch. Now Abby will begin her breeding career and we are very excited to see her crias, who we hope will inherit her winning ways!

About: Principessa is a beautiful grey female, with a very correct conformation and great personality. She is friendly and curious. With a long line of greys and blacks in her background, we hope she will continue to pass that onto her cria. Her mother, Nova, is a beautiful grey, and her father, Lanark's Gucci, a true black. She also descends from Macusani. She will be bred to Jimbo Snow, a fine fleeced grey male with superior conformation, who has Hemingway in his background. We think this will be a great combination.

About: Thor is a nicely conformed young male, with lots of fiber. He is an interesting combination of colors - light silver grey from his dam, Principessa, and rose grey from his sire Jimbo Snow. He is a very photogenic one and attracts a lot of farm attention.
